My name is Sara Light. I am currently working as a researcher at Science for Life Laboratory, affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Stockholm University. I did my undergraduate studies as an experimental biochemist but changed course toward computational biology / bioinformatics during my graduates studies. I received my Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry from Stockholm University in 2006. Since then I have worked at the Joint Genome Institute and Karolinska institute. I have worked on areas ranging from network biology to metagenomics. I am currently working with protein domain analysis, miRNA analysis as well as next generation sequencing.
